I don’t understand about past lives and reincarnation as opposed to heaven and afterlife…. Is it an option?? I suppose I’ll find out one day!

Can I ask please Why do we need to meditate in a class for a year plus when trying to open up to Spirit.? To try to become a medium.... Surely this used to hapen naturally years ago before meditation was a thing ?? Just asking..
