VOICES FROM THE SÉANCE ROOM

Six Mediums. Six Stories. Six Experiments.

A Six-Part Exploration of the Great Mediums of Spiritualist History with Tony Stockwell

Step inside the séance room…

A place where history, evidence, experimentation and mediumship meet.

Across six fascinating sessions, Tony Stockwell will open the door on the lives and work of some of the most remarkable and controversial mediums in Spiritualist history.

Gladys Osborne Leonard. Estelle Roberts. Helen Duncan. Jack Webber. Alec Harris. Leslie Flint.

These were mediums whose work fascinated sitters, challenged researchers, attracted controversy and, in some cases, produced phenomena that are still discussed and debated today.

But Voices from the Séance Room is not simply a history course.

You will experiment too.

Each session begins by exploring one extraordinary medium: their life, their particular form of mediumship, the phenomena associated with them, the investigations surrounding their work and the legacy they left behind.

Then we move from history into practice.

Inspired by the work of that medium, Tony will lead students through practical exercises designed to explore different aspects of mental, trance and physical mediumship.

Part history. Part investigation. Part practical workshop.

And perhaps, along the way, an opportunity to discover something new within your own mediumship.

The Platform Pioneer

Session Three — Helen Duncan
